Bulbbul Review.

Bulbbul is a supernatural thriller available on netflix. For the overview bulbbul is haunting tale about a witch. A tale about how a innocent little girl go through so many horrendous things in her life and how her life takes unexpected turns. We can describe bulbbul as a haunting story that will leave you shocked after watching. Everything about bulbbul is beautiful and terrifying. First of all it is not a typical horror movie, bulbbul is a unconventional fairy tail.
We all have heard stories about fairies and evils. Now consider the fairy from stories came into the real world where humans are no less evil. Bulbbul does not use any jumpscares to make viewers slip off from their seats, instead of that it uses haunting music which chases you and play with your mind throughout the runtime, and also the story is the real element of horror. The story engulf you into it and make you seriously terrified from the inside. Again if you are watching bulbbul thinking it is a horror movie and you will get a intensely horror experience then no, the horror part is all about the story and execution. Bulbbul is ultimately a tale of fear, pain and suffering. 

Storyline-.   (Spoilers ahead)
               The story starts as a 10 years old girl bulbbul getting married. The story is set in 1800. As per her believe she was going to get married to a boy named Satya but in turn of events she got married to a adult mab, who is satya's brother. Because of their age Satya and bulbbul became best friends. But this thing bothers her husband and he send Satya to study law abroad. What happens after that is the story of bulbbul. After 5 years of this event Satya returns and finds bulbbul grown up and abandoned by her husband. And also finds something wacky going on in the village due to the mysterious deaths. 

Bulbbul has a compelling story but it lacks somewhere down the road. The cinematography is brilliant and the film truly is so beautiful. The lighting, makeup and sets should be appreciated. The acting by the entire cast is brilliant. Tripti dimri in the role of bulbbul has her essence all over the film. Paoli dam is truly underrated, her small role of binodini was remarkable. Avinash Tiwari in the role of Satya and Rahul das in the role of indranil were brilliant. Indeed the cast has performed very well. Now there are also some underwhelming points about bulbbul. The direction, for most of the time the direction feels good but sometimes it just goes sloppy. The story of the film is great and the execution for most of the part was brilliant. But there is a time where you just feel that the story is being stretched a bit. Like the 1.30 hr film feels long. 

Final thoughts-  Beautiful, intense but problematic and and flawed.

Dil Bechara Review.

Finally the most anticipated movie of this year, sushant's last film Dil Bechara released. It is now available on Disney+ Hotstar, and if you haven't watched it yet, go now and watch it. It's both beautiful and painful film at the same time. And I'm not saying this just because sushant's incident, but the movie itself is so emotional. It made me fall in love with Sushant all over again.  Storyline- Life is pretty unfair to both kizie and Manny. Dil Bechara is a story about two hopelessly in love youngsters, a young girl, kizie suffering from cancer and a boy, Manny, who she meet at a support group.  This is just the storyline, the actual movie is much more than that. Kappela Review- a thrilling experience that makes you think.

One of the movie which came to an halt due to the terrific environment we are living in now is a Malayalam movie kappela directed by MD. Mustafa. This is the very first attempt of mustafa in directing a movie. The debuting director is also a actor in malayalam cinema for quite sometime now.
